My greatest gifts & challenges. Motherhood is without a doubt the hardest work I’ve personally done but I’m so grateful for my babies. I’m so grateful that I was blessed to have healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, a partner & a supportive family but most of all I’m grateful that I had a choice. I am a mother by choice and I am also pro-choice! Happy Mother’s Day to every woman, every man, every step-parent, every auntie, every God parent, every grandparent, every friend, and to all the mamas, to those who are mothering day in and day out. Your work does not go unnoticed. ♥️♥️♥️ #mothersday2022

My mom had me very young. She also was a single mom—the absolute hardest version of motherhood there is. Thank God she decided to have me, thank God she had a family who supported her decision, but more than anything thank God she had a choice!!! Like Barack & Michelle said… “this is the most intensely personal decision” a woman has. I am one of the millions of women who woke up today fearing that my freedom is at risk… my daughter’s freedom at risk!!! No matter what side of the argument you’re on, one thing should be unanimous—no government should have the authority to control a woman’s reproductive rights! ESPECIALLY not a government like ours that provides ZERO financial, medical and emotional support after birth. The saddest part about laws like this is that they negatively impact minority women in low-income communities most. How is that okay with anyone? It’s sad that we are here!
