Give Good, Do Good, with BareMinerals this Holiday Season
Denise Vasi in Partnership with bareMinerals
It’s the season of giving, but more importantly, 2020 is the season of giving intently! This year has taught us to invest our money in quality products that are good for us and in brands that are doing good for our planet. That’s why I’m so excited about BareMinerals’ Give Good. Do Good Holiday Collection—a limited edition collection of eco-friendly holiday gift boxes filled with clean skincare and clean makeup products.
BareMinerals, an OG in clean and conscious beauty has always been committed to making people look good, feel good, and do good, but this year they’ve taken that commitment up a notch. This year BareMinerals decided to take a closer look at their environmental impact and begin their journey towards becoming an even more sustainable brand, and they started with this incredibly thoughtful and beautiful holiday collection that is so well fitted for Christmas 2020.
What are BareMinerals’ Sustainability Initiatives?
The Give Good. Do Good Holiday collection has less plastic than any holiday collection ever previously created by BareMineras. They’ve reduced their overall gift set packaging and replaced a considerable amount of plastic with FSC-certified paper. They also got rid of those unnecessary plastic windows and trays that you often see in gift sets. To reduce the use of virgin plastic in their product packaging, they’re now using post-consumer recycled plastic wherever possible.
Last but certainly not least, to help prevent any additional unnecessary waste, BareMinerals’ Give Good. Do Good Holiday collection comes festively decorated, so there’s no need to gift wrap. They partnered with a graphic designer from my hometown, Brooklyn N.Y., Sarah Bachman, to capture the spirit of the holiday season, BareMinerals style! The hand-drawn, nature-inspired pattern is meant to represent love, nature, and joy. I love the idea of no gift wrapping necessary, just gift as-is, because it’s not only planet-friendly, but it also takes something off my holiday to-do list.
The Give Good. Do Good. Holiday Collection
There are 16 holiday sets in total, but I’ve done some of the work for you and picked out a few of my favorites at different price points from the collection.
Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick Trio, $32
The Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick set included three full-size vegan lipsticks in holiday-inspired shades: Neutral rose (Memory), cool cranberry (Purpose), and a brand new limited-edition rose berry hue (Harmony). Each hue comes inside of a limited-edition designed lipstick case made with post-consumer recycled aluminum.
These pout-flattering lipsticks are lightweight, moisturizing, and offer the right amount of coverage. They’re made with 19 clean ingredients and packed with minerals and omegas to help provide extra hydration. This gift set makes for the cutest stocking stuffer!
Mini SKINLONGEVITY Long Life Herb Trio, $44
This limited-edition gift set is the perfect introduction to BareMinerals’ newest celebrity-obsessed skincare line, SKINLONGEVITY. The powerful trio, a full-sized serum, mini nighttime moisturizer, and mini eye cream promote healthier-looking skin by strengthening the skin’s barrier and improving its overall radiance and texture, all while restoring hydration.
The SKINLONGEVITY line is boosted by a unique superfood called Chomeiso, also known as the Long Life herb, which is responsibly sourced from Okinawa, Japan. It’s grown in mineral-rich soil without pesticides or chemical fertilizers and is believed to contribute to long and healthy lives.
I recently took the nighttime moisturizer with me on a trip to New Mexico, and it literally saved my skin from the dry, harsh, cold weather. I went from dehydrated, lack-luster skin to a supple and plump glow overnight.
24 Days of Clean Beauty, $99
This is the ultimate clean beauty gift set!!! A 24-day advent calendar filled with mini makeup and skincare BareMineral favorites.
Is there a clean beauty enthusiast on your holiday gift list? Want to encourage someone on your list to clean up their act? Wink. Wink. This box of goodies is such a genius gift for so many reasons! Who wouldn’t love 24 days of surprises? It’s a can’t-go-wrong kind of gift, and with a $250 value, this set is a steal at $99.
PS. If you don’t get one for someone on your holiday shopping list, do what I did, and make sure to get one for yourself.
