I’m sharing one of the most blissed out, lux treatments I’ve ever received, courtesy of the fabulous @suryabymartha! This divine journey started with Surya’s Signature Abhyanga—a 4-hand massage that deeply nourishes the body and is incredibly revitalizing for the skin. Every stroke felt like a warm embrace, melting away all tension and stress. Plus, the herbal oils are tailored to your body’s unique needs to balance your dosha, which in Ayurvedic tradition are one the of three fundamental energies that govern the body and mind: Vata, Pitta or Kappa. As the oils penetrate your skin and the massage techniques begin, blood circulation improves, gentle detoxification begins and the mind drifts into deep rest. Deep rejuvenation and beyond. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it was time for Shirodhara. Warm oil was gently streamed over my forehead, specifically on my “third eye”, calming my nervous system and dissolving stress.
